2023.06.01 [Screw Rescue Report] A broken bolt for road bike

Received a road cycle screw SOS from Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture in central Japan.

"The clamp bolt for the integral seat of my road bike broke off during tightening and became stuck."

"I contacted the French manufacturer of it to check their stock, but was told that they do not have any clamps in stock and have no plans to re-produce parts for older models."

The broken bolt that was sent to us was a special type that changes pitch from the middle.

The Screw Rescue Team started an emergency operation. Using special secret tools, the team finally succeeded in rescuing the bolt with the Neji-saurus Mogura (Socket Screw Extractor).
